Trying each day to remember to stop and smell the roses... The fun is in the "getting there"...

I, like many others I'm sure, get too caught up, too lost in the hustle and bustle. Do you ever stop to watch a sunset? Stop to feel a nice cool breeze? Stop to feel the grass under your feet? I want to slow it all down and breathe it all in.

gettting my groove back...

Hi guys!  Whew!!  Busy busy! Time sure flys!  I can't beleive it's the end of June already!  This year is going so fast!  Everyday feels like a whirlwind and I have been grasping at straws for a while to keep my sanity!  I finally feel like I am getting my groove back and like I have a little bit more control over my life.  School is still pretty overwhelming, but I am having fun with it.  Work is calming down and though I stay very busy, I do feel like I am in the zone.  My house is staying fairly together thanks to a lot of help from my awesome hubby!! I do feel like I've been able to have a little bit of a social life, though I haven't been able to spend as much time with anyone as I'd like to...  Everyone keeps telling me that school would require sacrifice...  I just have a very hard time sacrificing quality time with my loved ones...  I am sure it will all work out just fine, though.
I lost another couple of pounds last week.  I am at 215.2 this morning!  Yay! 15.2 pounds to go before ONEDERLAND!!  I am going to have to do something really spectacular for that milestone!
I was going through some cloths from a friend this weekend and guess what?!?  There is a LBD in there!!  (little black dress) It's beautiful and I can't wait to go somewhere spectacular in it!  I look amazing in it!!  I think Matt and Trina and Nick and I are going to go on a formal double date somewhere!  Yay!!  Maybe the Melting Pot??
Things are good.  Really good.  I am feeling good.  Nick is good.  It's like stepping out into the sun after being in a cave for a while...  I love the fresh air!

  1. You look amazing for sure! Make sure to get pictures when you go on your date! I'm so glad you are settling in, even though it will still be hectic. Remember - now is the time for you to be selfish - you have goals you have to meet! We all love you and will be here when you are done. :-)

  2. Good advice from the mom-in-law. :) And even though I technically won't be here when you're done with school, just think of how awesome that week long visit in Alaska will be! :)
