last day of work for 2 WEEKS!

So today I am thinking of the next 4 mornings of sleeping in shamelessly late.  I do plan on being a little productive as Nick and I will be deep cleaning our house.  But I also plan on RELAXING and unwinding so I can get every ounce of the vacation experience without any crummy 4 letter words (work) creeping in...  We are just about all packed, so we will just be handling last minute stuff for the next few days. 

Tomorrow we are going downtown to see what all the city has done for the Super Bowl.  We are going to the NFL experience and will just see all the sights.  It's a very exciting time and a big honor for the city to host such a big event!

I am going to try to keep up with my posts the next couple of days, but I will probably have to catch up when we get back from the cruise.  Hoping to get a lot of great pictures!!

Weekend leading up to VACAY!

It was another fun weekend.  This one didn't seem quite as hectic as some in the past... 

Friday we dog-sat for our friends Matt and Trina.  They have 2 beautiful boxers and we had a lot of fun playing with them.  They are such high-maintenance girls!  LOL!! 

Friday night Nick and I went to dinner and a movie.  We went to MCL for dinner and had some yummy stuffed chicked breast.  Then we saw Man on a Ledge. It was pretty good.

Saturday we played basketball and had lunch with Chris.  It was nice to hang out with him.  We ran some errands and then went to dinner and another movie.  We had Stir Crazy and saw The Gray.  It was good but pretty intense.  Here we are at dinner.



Sunday I got up early and started on my homework.  It was a lot of intense homework.  I am in a New Testament Class and I'll just say that I tend to prefer the stories in the Old Testamant.  I got through it, though.  Then I had dinner with my Mom's side. I met Nick for some last minute cruise shopping last night.  We got walkie-talkies and some travel stuff and some sun block.  We also bought a week's worth of tanning, so we are hoping to tan a bit before we leave so we don't fry too bad! 
My POD today is my silly kitty.  She was nice enough to keep me company while I did my homework.

Today's photo is of Darria and I.  Darria is the other half of my new team.  She's a lot of fun and we seem to have a lot in common.  She and Laurie are working out really well and I am so excited to be working with them!  They are going to make me feel a lot better about life while I am on vacation!

Cruise Fund Jar

Today my photo is of my cruise fund jar!  I am so excited about our cruise I can hardly contain myself! I am taking 2 full weeks off work, so I will have down time before the cruise to get all my work stuff off my mind and then a few days after the cruise to rest and recover from the traveling.  Wa-hooo!!

Ok, so I am totally bummed that I have not done better with my 365 picture project.  It's been over a week since my last post and I only took 2 photos during that time.  I will share them.  I am a dork.  :-(  I know you won't hold it against me, but this is actually something I was hoping to do for myself.  My AWESOME MIL is doing a great job and it's so fun to see her photos!

Ok...  Last week, my super fun aunt Tricia and I went out for a night of pampering.  We got massages (my new favorite thing!) and had dinner at the Melting Pot.  It was so fun to catch up with her and spend some time with her.  She's literally one of my all time favorite people and I adore her.  I haven't been able to see her as much as I would like to lately and it was nice to spend some time with her.

The next picture is of Nick with Ronald McDonald just being silly.  We went to dinner and a movie Saturday night with our good friends Matt and Trina and afterwards, we just weren't ready to go home.  Instead we went to McDonalds to hang out for a bit.  I am convinced we could have fun watching paint dry with Matt and Trina.  They are a blast!

I have class tonight.  It's a new class called New Testement Survey.  It's basically a bible study class and I am curious to see how it will go.  We have a very diverse class and I am sure the discussion will be interesting to say the least.

My photo of the day for today is a picture of the cart we use in class bearing the school's logo.  I spend 4 hours a week staring at this cart, so it's become a big part of my life... 

Another weekend of fun times!

Man!!  Weekends go so fast!  This was another great weekend!

Friday we went to Matis' and had Chinese and played games with them.  Always a super good time with lots of silliness and laughs!  This isn't a recent photo of them, but they are still my photo of the day!

SaturdayI had lunch with my brothers, Jake and Chris.  They are so much fun and I love catching up with them!  Saturday evening, we went to dinner at Bynums and went to see "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo".  It was very intense, but a really great movie.  My photo of the day is of some pretty snow.  We got a little snow, but nothing like this...

Sunday was homework day. I had a 6-8 page paper to write and I spent most of the day on that.  I did get to sleep in and catch up on some TV, too!  My photo of the day today is of my Kitty, Sasha.  She likes to keep me company while I do my homework.

Today was back to the grind... I am now 11 work days from vacation and I am so ready!!  Here is a pretty water photo for today to help me relax!

Stamp Club

Last night was stamp club with the Thursday Thumpers.  I love these ladies and they have become dear friends.  Meeting with them montly gives us a chance to catchup and have a lot of laughs!  I love to watch them create!  My POD today is of 2 of the cards we made last night.

On another note, I finally got my back ups at work and I am now in full blown training mode to get them up and running in time for my 2 WEEK vacation!!  Busy busy busy but such a releif to be able to finally get moving!  Happy Friday!  Looking forward to a fun weekend!  Matis' tonight for dinner and games, meeting with my brothers for lunch tomorrow, then skating with Pattersons.  Sunday...  6 page paper to write!  Whew!!

I got some beautiful flowers from my sweet hubby yesterday.  He is so good to me and he's always suprising me with fun stuff!  He has always been so thoughful and loving, but I've noticed it even more the past few months.  He is so wonderful and I just love him to pieces!!

Vacation!!

Today my POD is of a beautiful spot in the world.  We are going on a CRUISE in 25 days and I cannot even express how excited I am!  I need a vacation in the worst kind of way and I just can't wait to lounge in the sun for a whole week!!

Catch up

Whew!  It's been another couple of BUSY days!  This is my busy week, so I tend to feel like I don't have much time to get myself together. It's all fun stuff though!  :-)
So, catching up...

Friday - We went downtown with some friends and had dinner and went to a comedy club.  It was very fun!  My POD is of Lucas Oil Stadium.  The Super Bowl will be hosted right here in Indy in less than a month and I thought the building looked pretty in the sunset.

Saturday was a fun day, too.  We went to Emma's baptizm in the morning.  She looked beautiful and it was a nice time.  Saturday afternoon we went to Nathan's birthday party.  He was so cute! He got some fun toys and I think we had as much fun playing with them as he did!  The Saturday evening we went to dinner with Matt and Trina.  Fun filled day!  Here is my photo of the day...  Emma looking beautiful!

Sunday was homework day!  I did take a picture of my puppy pal Peyton hanging out with me.  He's so cute!

And Monday - Yesterday was SUPER busy at work, but then I had a wonderful evening with my MOMMY!  We went to dinner and then got massages!  It was such a nice time with her!  Then Nick and I ran to Target and  my photo of the day is him being him.  SO CUTE and SO SILLY!



Finally Friday!

Happy Friday, friends!  :-)  I am ready for this weekend for sure!  It's been a busy couple of weeks at work.  And we are now 30 days from our CRUISE!!!  Can't wait!!!!

My photo is of Nick in front of Don Pablo's last night.  We had a great workout and did 30 minutes of cardio and then about 30 minutes of weight training.  My arms feel stronger already!  After our workout we went to dinner and I was so excited about Don Pablo's.  We don't go there a lot, but I've been craving it lately.  Well, I made the mistake of eating a couple of chips with queso dip and they didn't settle well, so I didn't eat any of my dinner.  Bummer.  We still had a nice time, though!

Tonight we are going to dinner and a comedy show with some old friends.  Tomorrow morning is my cousin Emma's baptizm.  She asked me to do her hair since Jill broke her wrist and can't do it.  I am honored!  Tomorrow afternoon is Nathan's birthday party.  He's getting so big!  Nick and I are hoping to hit the gym tomorrow evening.  Should be a great weekend! 

Sunset

My picture today is of a beautiful sunset we enjoyed in central Indiana last night!  It was amazing!

We started at our new gym last night and it was great!  It's a huge complex and we really loved the indoor walking track.  Each lap is 1/7th a mile and we actually ran a few complete laps last night!! I would love to be able to train hard enough to run at least half of the Komen 5k this April!  They also have basketball courts and Nick and I played a little basketball too.  Fun!  This place is going to be great and it's so close to home! 

School

Today's picture is of my backpack.  I have class every Tuesday night, so I thought I post a picture of my books!  It's hard to believe I started school almost 7 months ago!! I feel like I have forever left, but the time really is flying by.  I enjoy my class mates a lot and I sometimes suprise myself with the things I come up with. 

Project 365

Hello and happy 2012!!  It's so hard to believe it's the new year already!! 

I am shamelessly stealing this from my mother-in-law, but I thought it sounded like such a neat idea I wanted to do it too! 

Project 365 is essentually recording your life in photos.  I will take a photo everyday of something interesting or fun or meaningful and I will write a quick little note about it.  I am hopeful that I can keep this up and be consistant with it!  It would be a very cool way to look back at the year and remember fun little moments or thoughts that could otherwise be forgotten.  I am hopeful for 2012.  I have some big goals this year and I am ready to tackle 2012 head on! 

I know I am starting out a couple of days behind...

I will start with New Years Eve - We went ice skating.  Now, this may not seem all that major to you, but it was a big deal for me.  I have had knee and ankle issues for a long time due to my weight and I have been terrified to try skating.  I have been sad, too.  Nick is a great skater and it's something I've wanted to be able to do with him.  Well, on New Year's Eve I bit the bullet and went skating.  I had a great time, didn't fall, and wasn't too sore!!  (sadly, my Aunt Jill did fall while we were deep in conversation and she broke her wrist!)

New Years Day was a laid back day of sleeping in, shopping and homework.  Nick and I went to one of our favorite places for dinner - Texas Roadhouse!  Mmmmm!!  This is a very old picture, but this is Andy Armadillo, Texas Roudhouse's mascot.

Monday was back to work...  No rest for the weary...  I did get to catch up with Chris a bit, so I will post a fun photo of him from Christmas. It is so fun to work with him because I get to see him about everyday!  It's fun to watch him thrive here!
